Release Notes for TYPO3 4.4.8

This document contains information about TYPO3 version 4.4.8 which was released on May 24th, 2011.

News

This version is a maintenance release and contains bugfixes only. All users of previous 4.4 versions are strongly advised to upgrade.

Starting with this release, we will no longer supply an Introduction Package for the old stable release (4.4). Introduction Package will be build only for the current stable release (4.5) and the current development version (4.6).

Upgrading

The usual upgrading procedure applies. No database updates are necessary.

Scheduler tasks

If you use the Scheduler to have some tasks done automatically, you must adjust the file rights of some files in the TYPO3 Core by hand.\ For more information see here.
